Production drop
June production this year is 20% below last June. Common culprits: dead optimizer, failing inverter, dirty panels, or a tripped breaker.
Production drops, inverter faults, monitoring outages, panel cleaning, animal and storm damage. NABCEP-certified technicians across CT, MA, and RI — and remote diagnostics that often skip the truck entirely.
By the numbers
If your system is doing any of these, call us first. About 60% of production-loss issues are solved without a site visit.

Red light on the inverter, error code, or "no production" alert. Most are field-recoverable; some require a manufacturer warranty claim, which we file for you.
Solar producing fine but the app shows "offline." Usually a router, gateway, or cell-modem issue. We fix it remotely whenever possible.
Pollen, soot near highways, salt near the coast — sometimes panels need a real cleaning. Annual cleaning typically recovers 3 – 8% of production.
Squirrels chewing wires, birds nesting under panels — common in older arrays without critter guards. We repair the damage and install guards on the same trip.
Cracked glass, dislodged panels, or roof leaks after a heavy snow load or storm. Insurance documentation included with every diagnostic visit.
We do not bill you for a truck roll until we know we need one. Most monitoring and inverter issues are diagnosed in the first 30 minutes from our office.
Most production drops can be diagnosed remotely from your monitoring data. We pull the logs and identify the issue before scheduling a truck — saves you a service-call fee.
If remote diagnosis is inconclusive, our NABCEP-certified technician comes to your home. Same crew, no subcontracted "service partner."
Field-recoverable issues we fix on the visit. Equipment failures we file the manufacturer warranty claim and coordinate the replacement. You do not chase the manufacturer.
A 15-minute call, then a remote or on-site visit. Aurora-based design, panel and battery brand named on the proposal.
Permits filed, utility interconnection submitted, and equipment staged at our Bristol warehouse.
Local crew, local trucks. Most homes finished in 2 – 3 days. Final inspection scheduled before we leave.
PTO from your utility, ITC and rebate paperwork filed, and 25 years of local service after the system goes live.
Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Every pin is a Teamsun install. We're licensed in ME, NH, VT, and FL too.
“Teamsun was the only crew that walked the roof, named the panel brand, and answered every question without checking with someone. Same lead tech came back a year later when I added a battery.”
“Three of my neighbors had Teamsun, so I called them. The crew was on my street five days after I signed.”
“They knew the historic district secretary by first name. Saved us six weeks on permitting alone.”
“Same lead tech who installed it came back four years later to swap an inverter under warranty. No charge, no excuses.”
Yes. Most of our service work is on systems other installers built. We handle every brand and inverter on the market. We do not extend our 10-year workmanship warranty to outside installs, but we do file manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf.
Remote diagnostics are typically free. On-site diagnostic visits run $150 – $300 depending on travel distance. Repair labor is quoted after diagnosis — no blind estimates. Manufacturer warranty replacements are usually free except for labor.
Email us your monitoring login or screenshots from the last 12 months. We pull the data, diagnose remotely, and tell you whether you need a truck or just a setting change. About 60% of production drops are diagnosed without a site visit.
Yes — this is a common call for us. We file the manufacturer warranty claim on your inverter (typically 10 – 12 year coverage). If the warranty has expired, we quote a replacement with a fresh modern inverter under new warranty.
Production-loss diagnostics: same-day remote check. On-site visits: 5 – 10 business days for non-emergency. Storm damage and total system outage: usually within 48 hours, prioritized over routine work.
Yes — usually as part of a broader inspection visit. Annual cleaning is rarely worth a dedicated trip unless you are near agriculture, heavy industry, or the coast. We will tell you honestly during the visit whether your panels actually need cleaning.
No — we only honor our own workmanship. We do file manufacturer warranties (panels, inverter, battery) on your behalf regardless of who originally installed. If you need workmanship coverage on an outside install, talk to your original installer.
Often, yes. If your inverter is failing and warranty replacement is uneconomical, we frequently quote an upgrade in the same visit — see our system upgrades service. Aurora model included.
