Privately owned
No franchise. No private equity. Dan answers the phone, and every dollar that funds our install crews comes from work we did last week — not a 10-year exit clock.
Privately owned. Tier 1 equipment only. Zero subcontractors. Fastest install in New England. The four pillars below — and the deeper moats most installers will not match — are why 9,000+ New England homes already have us on the roof.

No franchise. No private equity. Dan answers the phone, and every dollar that funds our install crews comes from work we did last week — not a 10-year exit clock.
We name the panel brand and battery brand on every quote. FranklinWH, Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ — the same gear we put on our own families’ roofs.
Every crew is W-2 on our payroll. The lead tech who walks your roof at the site visit is the same one who installs the system, and the same person who picks up the phone in year five.
47 days from signed contract to a working system, on average. 5 to 15 days from final install to PTO. Tracked weekly across CT, MA, and RI.
The four UVP pillars above are the headline. These six are the operational decisions underneath them — the reasons the headline holds up under pressure.
Most national installers refuse to touch a system another company installed. We retrofit hundreds every year — original installer does not matter.
One crew, one contract, one warranty path. We re-roof and install solar in 5 – 10 weeks total — versus paying for panel removal and reinstall later.
Most installers require 700+ for a PPA. Teamsun underwrites at 620 — a meaningful moat for homeowners turned away elsewhere.
Production drops, inverter faults, monitoring outages — we service every solar system in CT, MA, and RI regardless of who built it.
Conservative estimates using your real roof geometry, real shade, and real utility rate. Most customers see equal or higher production than the proposal predicts.
Year ten — same Bristol office, same area code, same crew. A person picks up at 203-903-4091 because the company is run from one location.
The brand named on your proposal is the brand on the roof. We do not write substitution clauses into our contracts.
REC Group, Q CELLS, and Silfab — each with 25-year product warranties. Brand named on the quote, never swapped at install.
FranklinWH, Tesla Powerwall, and Enphase IQ Battery 5P. Match the right battery to your roof, not our inventory.
Enphase IQ8 microinverters or SolarEdge HD-Wave string + optimizers. We pick by roof shading and load profile — not by what is cheapest this month.
We do not put substitution language in the contract. The brand on the proposal is the brand on the roof.
Every claim on this site is something we can hand you a document for. License numbers, BBB profile URL, and NABCEP cert number on request — or in our footer once a quote is signed.

OSHA 10 + fall-protection training for every roof tech, with quarterly safety drills.
“Teamsun was the only crew that walked the roof, named the panel brand, and answered every question without checking with someone. Same lead tech came back a year later when I added a battery.”
“Three of my neighbors had Teamsun, so I called them. The crew was on my street five days after I signed.”
“They knew the historic district secretary by first name. Saved us six weeks on permitting alone.”
“Same lead tech who installed it came back four years later to swap an inverter under warranty. No charge, no excuses.”
We do not subcontract. The crew that walks your roof at the site visit is the crew that installs the system, and the same person who picks up the phone in year five. Most national installers run a sales-and-handoff model where the installer you talk to is not the installer who shows up. That single difference cascades into everything else — naming the panel brand, hitting the timeline, picking up the phone.
Not always on sticker. We are usually competitive on price, but we will not be the cheapest if the cheapest quote is using Tier 2 equipment, subcontractors, or a sales-pressure PPA structure that pays the salesperson more than it pays you. Where we win on price: lifetime cost (no panel re-removal at re-roof time, no warranty fights, no service-call delays).
9,000+ installs across our Team Sunshine install arm — built up across years of New England residential and small commercial work. About 80% are residential systems in CT, MA, and RI. The other 20% is small-to-mid commercial.
Honestly: someone else came in cheaper. We will tell you on the first call whether we can match a competing quote — sometimes we can, sometimes the other quote is using equipment we will not put on a roof. We are not interested in racing to the bottom on equipment quality.
Teamsun (Green Enterprises, LLC) is privately owned, not VC-backed, and has no exit clock. Our Team Sunshine install arm carries 9,000+ installs of operating history. Our manufacturer warranties (25-year panels, 10 – 25 year inverters, 10 – 15 year batteries) are independent of Teamsun continuing to exist — they are honored by the manufacturers directly even if Teamsun ever closed.
Because the model only works if Dan can answer the phone. Private equity ownership of solar installers in the last five years has consistently led to layoffs, subcontractor reliance, and warranty issues. We watch the trend and pick the other path.
Yes. If your roof is too shaded for solar to make sense financially, we will tell you. If a re-roof is the right move before solar, we will say so. If a battery does not pencil for your utility rate, we will skip it. Saying no when the answer is no is the only way the yeses mean anything.
