Engineering done locally
Stamped engineering and structural review handled in-house. We know the AHJ requirements in every CT, MA, and RI town we work in.
Stamped engineering, in-house W-2 crews, and Tier 1 panels — for warehouses, light industrial, multifamily, and storefronts across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
By the numbers
The same standards we apply to a 9 kW home install — applied to a 200 kW warehouse roof. Engineering, install, and paperwork all in-house.
Stamped engineering and structural review handled in-house. We know the AHJ requirements in every CT, MA, and RI town we work in.
OSHA-30 trained leads on every commercial roof. Same W-2 model as our residential side — no outsourced labor.
Trina, Silfab, and Q CELLS panels paired with SMA, SolarEdge, or Tigo string inverters depending on roof and shading.
Building, electrical, and utility interconnection — we file every form. Net metering or virtual net metering, depending on your state and program.
Roughly the median Teamsun commercial job. Specifics vary with roof type, shading, available area, and your utility — these are central tendencies, not promises.

Per project, scaled to size
Modules and inverters chosen per-project for your roof loading, shade profile, and three-phase service. Brand named on the proposal — never swapped at install.
Vertex S+ commercial bifacial modules — high power density for flat roofs and commercial ground mounts.
North American manufactured Tier 1 modules — Buy America-eligible for projects with domestic-content bonus ITC.
Q.PEAK DUO XL commercial modules — strong shading tolerance and low-light performance for variable rooflines.
Three-phase commercial string inverter, modular up to 100 kW — the workhorse of mid-size commercial.
Three-phase string inverter with DC optimizers on every panel — module-level monitoring for 500+ kW arrays.
Stackable AC-coupled battery for small commercial and multifamily — eligible for CT ESS commercial track.
A 15-minute call, then a remote or on-site visit. Aurora-based design, panel and battery brand named on the proposal.
Permits filed, utility interconnection submitted, and equipment staged at our Bristol warehouse.
Local crew, local trucks. Most homes finished in 2 – 3 days. Final inspection scheduled before we leave.
PTO from your utility, ITC and rebate paperwork filed, and 25 years of local service after the system goes live.
On a typical $30K install in Connecticut, the total incentive stack lands between $13,000 and $17,000. We file every form with you.
Federal ITC

CT ESS battery rebate
Up to $7,500
One-time check from CT Green Bank, paid through your installer.
Net metering
Full retail
1:1 offset on what your panels send back to Eversource or UI.
CT property tax exemption
$300 – $700/yr
System value excluded from your assessment. Sales tax also exempt.
Three commercial structures. Cash and loan let you claim the federal ITC and MACRS depreciation. A PPA passes those benefits to a third-party owner in exchange for $0 down.
Best lifetime ROI
Pay upfront. Claim the full 30 – 50% federal ITC plus MACRS depreciation in year one. Speak with your CPA about the depreciation schedule.
Best for: tax-paying owners with the cash on hand
5 – 25 yr terms
Secured commercial financing, $0 down available. You still claim the federal ITC and depreciation. Most common structure for owner-occupied buildings.
Best for: spreading project cost while keeping tax benefits
Third-party owned
A third party owns the system and sells you the power at a fixed rate, typically below your utility from day one. They claim the ITC and depreciation; you claim the bill savings.
Best for: owners with low tax appetite or limited capital
Operating lease
Pre-paid or monthly operating-lease structure for owners who want third-party O&M and predictable expense lines. Talk to your CPA about classification.
Best for: clean-balance-sheet owners who want hands-off
Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Every pin is a Teamsun install. We're licensed in ME, NH, VT, and FL too.
“Teamsun was the only crew that walked the roof, named the panel brand, and answered every question without checking with someone. Same lead tech came back a year later when I added a battery.”
“Three of my neighbors had Teamsun, so I called them. The crew was on my street five days after I signed.”
“They knew the historic district secretary by first name. Saved us six weeks on permitting alone.”
“Same lead tech who installed it came back four years later to swap an inverter under warranty. No charge, no excuses.”
We design and install 25 kW to 500 kW commercial PV systems, on flat roofs, sloped commercial roofs, and ground mounts. We do not pursue utility-scale (1 MW+) work — that is not our specialty.
Yes. Stamped electrical and structural engineering is done in-house or via our partner PE firm. Building permits, electrical permits, and utility interconnection forms are all filed by Teamsun — turn-key.
The base federal ITC for commercial solar is 30%. Domestic-content, energy-community, and low-income bonuses can stack to push effective credits as high as 50%. Speak with your CPA about MACRS depreciation, which is a separate stacking benefit. We do not provide tax advice — but we do hand you a complete project file your accountant can run with.
Connecticut: ESS commercial track and Buy All Systems. Massachusetts: Connected Solutions C&I track and SMART program (where eligible). Rhode Island: Renewable Energy Growth (REG) commercial program. Every state-specific paperwork bundle is filed by Teamsun.
Yes. We integrate FranklinWH stacks for small-to-mid commercial and route projects into demand-response programs (CT ESS commercial, MA Connected Solutions). Larger battery deployments (250 kWh+) are evaluated case-by-case.
8 – 16 weeks from signed contract to a working system, depending on system size and AHJ. Engineering and permits typically take 4 – 8 weeks; install runs 1 – 4 weeks on-site; utility interconnection adds 2 – 4 weeks at the end.
Yes. Cash, secured loan, and third-party PPA structures are all available for commercial projects. Best fit depends on your tax appetite — cash and loan let you claim the ITC and depreciation; a PPA passes those benefits to the third party in exchange for $0 down.
No. Every Teamsun commercial install is W-2 in-house, including OSHA-30 trained leads and licensed electricians. The same model that gets us 9,000+ residential installs scales to commercial.
Roughly 25 kW. Below that we usually scope it as a large residential job. We will tell you on the first call whether your project is a better fit for our residential or commercial team.
Yes. Once we have a signed NDA with the property owner, we coordinate site walks at completed installs in your county. Local references included on every commercial proposal.
